The ultimate private cinema, our Screening Room seats a maximum of 36 in absolute luxury and comfort.  Members enjoy around 8 complimentary screenings of pre-release and new-release blockbuster and art house films a week, screened with up-to-the-minute technology from HD to 3D and beyond!  Also a popular space for private events corporate or personal, and recently home to our hugely popular NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE members’ screenings of Frankenstein, One Man, Two Guvnors and Collaborators to name but a few. The nearby Forest Room or Bellini Bar can be used for pre or post screening drinks.

Video Facilities 3D (Dolby)

The Dolby 3D Digital cinema system uses a standard digital cinema projector with a Dolby 3D colour wheel that filters the light path before the image is formed. As a result, the image itself isn’t modulated which preserves both colour and its quality. Manufactured by ‘Cine-Tal’ the Dolby 3D colour processor performs accurate left eye/tight eye colour balancing. That means production and post production professionals are guaranteed the same colour accuracy when 3D material is played back form any source or server and projected with a Dolby 3D Digital Cinema filter. Uses passive, filter glasses for viewers.

Content Server: Doremi DCP_2K4 Presentation Server

The DCP-2K4 is a high quality DCI JPEG-2000 server capable of playing movie or trailer packages in MXF format at up to 250Mbps. The unit features a dual-link encrypted HD-SDI output capable of 12 bit 4:4:4 2048 x 1080p24 or 10 bit 4:2:2 for 48fps and 3D applications. Data storage is done on an internal RAID5 disk array. The DCP-2K4 is capable of playing back MPEG2 Interop movies, preshows and alternative playback.

Kodak JMN3000 Presentation Server

The DCI compliant unit can handle JPEG and MPEG compressed files. The JMN3000 plays MXF-packaged, JPEG2000-compressed content and also MPEG-2 formats.
