May 13th saw some new faces joining the more established poker pro's that The Hospital is used to hosting. By 8pm the chips were stacked and the first hand was shuffled and dealt as ordered by the pit boss himself, Andrew Best.

Newcomers looked to make their mark early on with Glenn Richardson moving all-in on the first hand. I couldn't let him get away that easily so called with pocket 9's and ended up doubling my chip count within the first 30 seconds.

Some may call it luck, in my opinion you make your own luck - Whatever it was, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. Hustlers old and new started tossing their chips into the pot for almost no reason and the result was that we had our final table assembled by 9.30.

8 people with mugshots more akin to Britains Most Wanted than a Hospital membership competed for their chance to feature in the money - Top 3 getting paid. After much betting and even more bluffing, results were: 1st - Alistair Crane 2nd - Dan 'The Man' 3rd - Drew Ellis A great night was had by all - allegedly there are some pictures still to come.
