This year’s Theatre Emerging Creative Karen Cogan speaks of entering the industry and shares an insight into her second play ‘Drip Feed’, which is set to show at the Soho Theatre from Monday 24th Sep - Saturday 20th Oct. 

In addition to writing and performing, Karen also explains how she facilitates young people who have traditionally been excluded from the industry by concentrating on 'raising voices and enabling them to tell their stories on stage and screen’, helping to overcome challenges faced within the industry.  

 

 

 

 

 

The Creative Industry is the fastest growing sector of the economy but what does growth really look like for the Creative Industries? Research and Policy Officer, Creative Industries Federation, Luise Yang has discovered through survey responses and focus groups that there are many alternative definitions of growth in the Creative Industries. She highlights that the government need to openly acknowledge and address the intangible measures of growth for creative enterprises.
