The Computers @ The Hospital Club

 Tuesday, 2nd August, 2016

From the fertile, tight-knit punk scene of Exeter, The Computers relocated to the San Diego home of former Rocket From The Crypt front man John “Speedo” Reis to record their first album in 2011. Completed in just four days, they recorded it live to tape with no overdubs and released the results of those sessions in the form of debut LP ‘This Is The Computers’. Renowned for their exuberant live shows, they soon hit the Radio 1 Playlist with their ‘Music Is Dead’ single.

The band returned in 2013, sharp-suited, drenched in Brylcreem and full of swagger. The follow up ‘Love Triangles Hate Squares’ was released receiving great reviews and plays on XFM and Radio 1. Recorded with producer Mark Neill (Black Keys) in Valdosta, Georgia the album mixes the band’s love of rock and roll, blues, soul and the energy of punk rock.

To the present, The Computers release their third album ‘Birth /Death’ on 30th September 2016 on One Little Indian. They will be touring the UK in October and November enthralling disciples old and new.

This is a byoot of an opportunity to see one of the best live bands on the circuit play in the intimacy of the Oak Room ahead of their autumn tour. The show is part of our #RocksLondon series in partnership with ginormous Instagram channel @London. Check the Fatherson session from our previous event...
