Daciana Negrean

So Daciana, what is your role at the Club?

I’m a waitress in the Lounge

What do you love most about your job?

Oh, that’s hard to say, there are so many things I like about this job. I think connecting with people, you really can make friends with people here when you see them every day. You spend more time with them than anyone else. It’s almost like family.

Is that your colleagues or the members?

Both, everyone is nice!

What skill would you most like to master?

I think negotiation! I would like to be a better negotiator!

Tell us a funny fact about yourself

Well when I was little... I don’t know if it’s a funny fact or maybe a weird one, but I used to collect paper napkins during primary school. I used to have a big collection with all sorts of sizes and colours and I would compare them to my friends’ napkins and be like ‘ooh mine are nice!!’ and we’d trade them.

What’s your most guilty pleasure?

I think sweets, anything sweet.

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?

The only thing that pops into my mind because I used to watch it a lot, little tweety pie!

What would be your ideal way to spend a weekend?

Probably going somewhere outside the city, spending some time alone or with family and loved ones.

Have you had any trips away recently?

I recently took a trip to Bali, it was incredible. The best thing was the nature and landscape in general. The colour of the ocean and the things I saw under the water whilst snorkelling were incredible.

What is your tipple of choice?

I don’t really drink, but if I had to choose it would be a sweet wine or a champagne. I try to keep it classy.

What trend would you most like to see make a comeback?

80’s perm!

Which book do you feel most changed your perception on life?

I’m not sure how to translate it into English, but it’s ‘The Richest Man in Babylon’. I enjoyed reading about that period of time - and how it relates to the current day. How people used their money, how they used to grow, learn and achieve, you can totally apply those ways to daily life today.

What line of advice would you give your younger self?

Be confident, don’t worry too much. Be yourself and don’t be ashamed of what people may think of you.

Most embarrassing social situation?

I don’t think I’ve ever had one! I’m more of an introverted person, not shy… but I like to stay in my own place and see how other people are and how they act.

What do you consider your spirit animal?

A bird perhaps. I like that they can go for miles and miles without getting tired. Being alone in the air, it sounds quite nice.

What was the last lie you told?

I prefer to be honest even if it hurts.

Tell us the top 3 things on your bucket list.

Go to Equador and travel more

Have a better lifestyle

Becoming a personal trainer

Do you work out a lot then?

I used to but I am quite busy now with work. I used to work out 6 days a week, 2 hours a day.

Was that cardio or weights?

Heavy weights! I love it! I like to push and challenge myself. I don’t really like cardio.

Where is your happy place?

Anywhere that I feel comfortable and loved. It’s the people around you that make you happy.
